Bedford Creative Arts (Date tbc – Autumn 07 – Spring 08) Driver (formerly Kerswell) is a participative public artist who uses media arts tools to enhance her work around public engagement and participation. In this residency, she will work with groups at Bedford Creative Arts to explore the role that different interfaces can play in encouraging participation in projects. Her current project Spike (looking at the way we store, discard and archive data both paper-based and electronic) is likely to be starting point for this residency alongside her data-gathering project on pedometers and health.
Driver, based in Portsmouth, is a highly respected artist in the field of public art who is currently developing her practice around the role media arts can play in engaging the public in arts and/or social context.
